Born in 1961 in Hamburg.
Sailing on the Alster was the beginning of a versatile experience in sailing and regatta. He is holder of all official German Sailing licences.
During a one year stay in California he gathered first experiences as sailing instructor and successfully took part in the Californian championship in Quarter Ton Class.
In 1987 training as DSV sailing instructor and experiences with various sailing schools the following years.
Studies in sports science at the University of Hamburg
Five years of experience as charter skipper in the North and East Sea, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, partly on his own yacht Swan 431, including several crossings of the Atlantic. Over 65.000 sea miles of experience
1989, 1991 and 2008 successful participation at the ARC-Race (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers….)
Since 2006 owner of the English yacht master license of the Royal Yachting Association with the commercial endorsed licence to work as an international skipper.
Since 2007 employee at the renowned and internationally operating sailing agency “pyd Professional Yacht Deliveries”
As employee of ship- and yachting outfitters over the years he gained profound knowledge of equipment and accessories, as well as good contact with manufacturers and wholesalers.
Through his long experience as a skipper as well as looking after high quality charter and private yachts in service management, equipment became his special interest.
2006 he set up a distribution and sales company for yachting equipment and installed two online shops in the internet.
